At Plainsight, we believe that computer vision shouldn’t be confined to siloed pilot projects—it should be a powerful, scalable tool driving real impact in your field. That’s why we’ve joined the Edge AI & Vision Alliance and are excited to attend this year’s Embedded Vision Summit in Santa Clara, May 20–22.

We’re proud to be part of a community that’s advancing the future of edge AI, computer vision, and machine learning in production—because making computer vision more practical, accessible, and production-ready has been at the core of our mission from the beginning

Why We Joined the Edge AI & Vision Alliance

The Edge AI & Vision Alliance is the industry’s leading network of innovators in the edge AI and vision space. From silicon to software, the Alliance brings together organizations solving some of the most complex challenges in edge deployment, performance optimization, and vision system design.

For us, becoming a member is about more than affiliation—it’s about collaboration. We help businesses reduce the friction between ideas and deployment. By joining the Alliance, we’re contributing our perspective on how to take computer vision from cool demo to scalable solution.

It also gives us an opportunity to stay plugged into the latest technologies, emerging use cases, and evolving best practices—so we can continue to build tools that meet teams where they are, and help them go further, faster.

Why the Embedded Vision Summit Matters

The Embedded Vision Summit is one of the most important events in the field of edge AI and computer vision. It’s where engineers, product leaders, and AI practitioners come to get a deeper understanding of the technologies shaping tomorrow’s  systems—from breakthroughs in hardware acceleration to real-world lessons in deploying computer vision at scale.

What makes the Summit unique is its focus on bridging the gap between research and real-world results. That’s a philosophy we share. Our customers are looking for more than accuracy—they want reliability, flexibility, and infrastructure that works across teams and environments.

At the Summit, we’ll be showcasing how Plainsight helps organizations:

  • Build and deploy computer vision solution that includes vision, AI, machine learning and data management at scale
  • Monitor and manage model performance across edge and cloud environments
  • Train and maintain computer vision models tailored to your needs
  • Gain more control over how models are deployed, updated, and scaled across teams

We’re looking forward to sharing our latest innovations and seeing what others are building, too.

We’re Speaking at the Summit

We’re excited to contribute to the conversation at this year’s Embedded Vision Summit with a session that gets to the heart of one of the biggest challenges in our field: moving from prototype to production.

Many computer vision initiatives reach proof of concept—but stall before production. Why? High costs, deployment hurdles, and complex infrastructure stand in the way.

In the session “Beyond the Demo — Turning Computer Vision Prototypes into Scalable, Cost-Effective Solutions,” Plainsight CEO Kit Merker will share the path from prototype to production, with practical strategies for reducing vision workload costs and scaling efficiently. Key topics include:

  • How to architect for scale without breaking the bank
  • What’s driving infrastructure costs—and how to manage them
  • A demo showcasing the journey from a basic model to a production-grade deployment

We’ll also introduce Pixel Prompts, our new capability enabling vision AI at the edge—running workloads on CPUs reducing GPU dependency. This innovation dramatically reduces costs and reliance on expensive hardware. Full session details are here

A Community of Builders

Plainsight’s journey has always been grounded in helping teams move from vision to production without unnecessary complexity. Whether it’s manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, or retail—our partners and customers are solving real problems with business critical data, and we’re building the infrastructure that supports them every step of the way.

Joining the Edge AI & Vision Alliance and attending the Embedded Vision Summit is part of our continued commitment to learning, sharing, and evolving alongside the broader community. We’re not just here to show off a product (though we think it’s a great one)—we’re here to be part of the conversation about what’s next.

Let’s Connect

If you’re attending the Embedded Vision Summit, we’d love to meet you. Stop by our booth (#518) or reach out to schedule a time to chat. Whether you’re deep into edge deployments or just exploring how computer vision can help your business, we’re excited to share ideas and hear what you’re working on.

Need a ticket? If you haven’t registered yet, reach out—we’re happy to help. And if you’d like to connect at the show, book a meeting with our team here.

See you in Santa Clara!
