Full Stack Engineer
Plainsight Technologies Inc. seeks a Full Stack Engineer (multiple openings) for its Woodinville, WA office (telecommuting permitted).
Job Duties:
- Build scalable backend software systems and customer-friendly user-interfaces.
- Design, develop, and maintain the core systems that manage long-running jobs, ensuring they are reliable, efficient, and visible to users.
- Design, build, and maintain backend systems that handle long-running processes and data pipelines.
- Develop APIs and integrations that power UIs and customer dashboards for monitoring job statuses.
- Create user-friendly, responsive frontends to allow customers to interact with and monitor their jobs.
- Ensure backend scalability, reliability, and performance for high-demand workloads.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create seamless user experiences.
- Implement best practices for deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and system monitoring.
- Debug and optimize performance bottlenecks in both frontend and backend services.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field and three years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related occupation. Experience must include:
- Three years of experience developing full stack web applications.
- Three years of experience designing and implementing backend systems using programming languages such as Python, Node.js, or Go.
- Three years of experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Two years of experience developing and integrating APIs using REST or GraphQL.
- Two years of experience working with cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, or Azure, to design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based applications and services.
- Two years of experience using both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL or MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB or DynamoDB) to design, manage, and optimize database systems, ensuring data consistency, query performance, and scalability.
- One year of experience using containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes to develop, deploy, and manage distributed applications in a microservices architecture.
- One year of experience implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI, and configuring system monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog to track performance, reliability, and operational health.
Experience may be gained concurrently. Foreign equivalent degrees are acceptable.

You will report to our Forward Deployed Engineering Lead and play a critical role in delivering infrastructure solutions that enable our customers' success with next-generation machines.
In This Role, You'll
- Deploy and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions to support our growing platform and customer base
- Collaborate with forward deployed software engineers to optimize application performance and reliability
- Partner with customers to understand their technical challenges and adapt Sift's deployment to meet their needs
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure proactive identification and resolution of issues
- Reduce manual deployment processes and streamline infrastructure management using modern DevOps tools and methodologies
- Troubleshoot production issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations
- Participate in an on-call support schedule
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers, acting as a technical partner and advocate
